Weddings

Riverside Wedding Bar Hire in Henley

Henley-on-Thames is one of the most photogenic wedding settings in the Thames Valley. Phyllis Court Club, a grand riverside manor in 18 acres on the bank of the Thames, hosts weddings in its Riverside Pavilion for up to 100 guests with panoramic views over the regatta course. Stonor Park, a historic manor in the Chilterns just north of the town, offers grounds for marquee receptions. Our mobile bar covers the drinks reception through to the evening bar from a single freestanding unit.

Henley sits in Oxfordshire, just over the Berkshire boundary, so the licensing authority is South Oxfordshire District Council. Licensed venues like Phyllis Court hold their own premises licence and need no extra paperwork. For marquees on private riverside lawns or unlicensed gardens, a Temporary Events Notice must be filed with South Oxfordshire District Council at least 10 working days ahead. Licensing requirements are checked for each event, and we can arrange a Temporary Event Notice where required and agreed.

Wedding bar packages include bespoke drinks menus, printed bar cards in your colour palette, and a dedicated event lead. Open-bar pricing covers spirits, mixers, soft drinks, ice, and glassware. Full details are on the wedding bar hire page.

Regatta Season

Private Parties During Henley Royal Regatta

Henley Royal Regatta in late June and early July is the defining event of the town's calendar and drives the sharpest demand peak we see anywhere in the Thames Valley. Riverside gardens along the Henley and Remenham banks, private properties in the town, and lawns overlooking the course all host pre- and post-Regatta parties through the week. Pimm's receptions, champagne service, and classic summer cocktails are the standard order.

Because Regatta week concentrates so many events into a few days, crews book out fastest here - we recommend confirming Regatta-week dates by April. Our bar units suit riverside and marquee settings: weather-sealed, stable on uneven lawns, and fitted with weatherproof covers for open-air service along the bank.

08 - FAQ

Henley-on-Thames FAQ.

How much does mobile bar hire cost in Henley-on-Thames? +
Open-bar rates are £6.50 per adult per hour without alcoholic cocktails and £7.50 with alcoholic cocktails, for the first four hours, and £4.50 per adult per hour after that. The standard minimum is 100 chargeable adults and four hours, so a four-hour event starts at £2,600 without alcoholic cocktails or £3,000 with. No VAT is added on top of these rates. Smaller events, dry hire and bespoke packages are quoted individually. We are based in Reading, around 20-25 minutes from Henley, and any travel charge is confirmed in your quote.
Which local council handles a Temporary Events Notice for a Henley event? +
Henley-on-Thames sits in Oxfordshire, just over the Berkshire border, so a Temporary Events Notice goes to South Oxfordshire District Council rather than a Berkshire authority. Licensed venues like Phyllis Court Club hold their own premises licence and need no TEN. For marquees on private riverside grounds or unlicensed gardens, the TEN must be filed at least 10 working days before the event. Licensing requirements are checked for each event, and we can arrange a Temporary Event Notice where required and agreed.
Can you provide a mobile bar during Henley Royal Regatta week? +
Yes - Regatta week, in late June and early July, is the busiest period in Henley's calendar. Riverside gardens along the Thames and private properties in the town host pre- and post-Regatta parties throughout the week. Demand spikes sharply, so book Regatta-week dates by April to secure your crew.
Which Henley venues do you cover for mobile bar hire? +
We cover Phyllis Court Club and its Riverside Pavilion on the Thames, riverside gardens along the Henley reach, and private properties across the RG9 postcode. Stonor Park and the surrounding Chilterns estates are also within our area. Send your venue postcode and we will confirm access and load-in.
How far in advance should I book a mobile bar in Henley? +
For weekday events, 4-6 weeks is usually enough. For weekend weddings and summer riverside parties, book 3-6 months ahead. Henley Royal Regatta week (late June to early July) fills earliest, book by April. Call 0118 449 3066 or WhatsApp 0790 175 1337 to check your Henley date.
