Weddings

Wedding Bar Hire in Wokingham

Wokingham has a strong set of wedding venues within minutes of our base. Cantley House Hotel, the former home of the Marquis of Ormonde, is a house-and-barn venue set in 50 acres of countryside on the edge of town. Bearwood Lakes Golf Club offers ceremonies with panoramic views across its lakes and woodland. Both sit just a short drive from Reading, Windsor, and Maidenhead. Our mobile bar covers the drinks reception through to the evening bar from a single freestanding unit.

Wokingham falls under Wokingham Borough Council. Licensed venues like Cantley House and Bearwood Lakes hold their own premises licence, so an external bar team needs no extra paperwork. For marquees on private grounds or unlicensed estates, a Temporary Events Notice must be filed with Wokingham Borough Council at least 10 working days ahead. Licensing requirements are checked for each event, and we can arrange a Temporary Event Notice where required and agreed.

Wedding bar packages include bespoke drinks menus, printed bar cards in your colour palette, and a dedicated event lead. Open-bar pricing covers spirits, mixers, soft drinks, ice, and glassware. Full details are on the wedding bar hire page.

Garden & Local Events

Garden Parties & Celebrations Across Wokingham

Wokingham is one of the closest towns to our Reading base, so garden parties, birthdays, and anniversaries here are quick to set up. The format is simple: a freestanding bar in the garden, a TEN where the property is unlicensed, and a two-person bartender team for groups up to 80 guests. Bar units are weather-sealed and fitted with covers for open-air service.

Across the RG40 and RG41 postcodes - Finchampstead, Winnersh, Barkham, and the Wokingham town centre - most residential addresses offer wide road access and straightforward load-in. Village halls in Finchampstead and the surrounding villages are regular bookings for milestone birthdays and family celebrations.

08 - FAQ

Wokingham FAQ.

How much does mobile bar hire cost in Wokingham? +
Open-bar rates are £6.50 per adult per hour without alcoholic cocktails and £7.50 with alcoholic cocktails, for the first four hours, and £4.50 per adult per hour after that. The standard minimum is 100 chargeable adults and four hours, so a four-hour event starts at £2,600 without alcoholic cocktails or £3,000 with. No VAT is added on top of these rates. Smaller events, dry hire and bespoke packages are quoted individually. We are based in Reading, just 10-15 minutes from Wokingham, and any travel charge is confirmed in your quote.
Which local council handles a Temporary Events Notice in Wokingham? +
Wokingham sits within Wokingham Borough Council, so a Temporary Events Notice for an unlicensed venue goes to Wokingham Borough Council. Licensed venues like Cantley House Hotel and Bearwood Lakes Golf Club hold their own premises licence and need no TEN. For marquees on private grounds or unlicensed estates, the TEN must be filed at least 10 working days ahead. Licensing requirements are checked for each event, and we can arrange a Temporary Event Notice where required and agreed.
Which Wokingham venues do you cover for mobile bar hire? +
We cover Cantley House Hotel, a house-and-barn venue set in 50 acres on the edge of Wokingham, Bearwood Lakes Golf Club with its lakeside and woodland setting, and private gardens across the RG40 and RG41 postcodes. Village halls and estates through the Wokingham and Finchampstead area are also regular bookings. Send your venue postcode and we will confirm access.
Can you provide a mobile bar for a garden party in Wokingham? +
Yes. Garden parties are a common Wokingham booking. Because we are based minutes away in Reading, setup is fast. The format is simple: a freestanding bar in the garden, a TEN where the property is unlicensed, and a two-person bartender team for groups up to 80. Most Wokingham residential addresses offer easy load-in and parking.
How far in advance should I book a mobile bar in Wokingham? +
For weekday events, 4-6 weeks is usually enough. For weekend weddings and summer parties (May-September), book 3-6 months ahead, and December dates fill by October. Wokingham is close to our base and a busy area for us, so earlier booking is recommended. Call 0118 449 3066 or WhatsApp 0790 175 1337 to check your date.
